At this time of year, we hope like us you will be gathering round tables with friends and family to share food, stories and memories.
Here is our round up of ideas for party food recipes, from simple nibbles and bites to mini plated dishes and the prettiest of sweets.
Grab a coffee and read on. Hopefully you will find some inspiration for your party food menu.
Sablé is a crumbly, buttery pastry and can be sweet or savoury. These cheesy parmesan and hazelnut sablés will be perfect for drinks parties.
Grassy goat cheese pairs well with sweet ingredients. We prepared tomato and vanilla jelly as an unusual condiment in these goat cheese crostini.
Food in little glasses is attractive and fun. Soup shots like this winter squash soup (garnished with spicy roasted pumpkin seeds and apple matchsticks) are easy to put together but très elegant.
Roasting vegetables (other than potatoes) is all the rage these days – cauliflower, celeriac, and now we offer these delicious roasted radishes. Add smoky almond dip and these make a sophisticated nibble at your drinks party!

Baked buffalo shrimp are easy to prep and make en masse – pair with a little succotash and a drizzle of buffalo or other hot sauce.
We made these Thai-spiced fishcakes with cod and salmon. They are so light textured – like doughnut. Serve with some quick pickled slices of cucumber.
In these stuffed mini bell peppers, we paired the delicate marine flavour of white crab meat with a little dose of a punchy date, coriander and mint chutney.
More Seafood ideas –
Polenta squares with Garlic, Shrimp and Spinach Pesto from Adore Foods.
Smoked Salmon Canapés from Natural Kitchen Adventures.

Buttermilk popcorn Chicken – crispy, tender chicken that you can serve with a some chilli infused mayonnaise.
Chicken sausage rolls – something we invented for our daughter but actually rather more-ish and lower in fat content than regular sausages. The filling is home made from minced chicken.
More meaty ideas –
Thai Beef Salad Cucumber bites from Adore foods.
Chicken and Beef Meatballs from Homemade food junkie.
Wrap some mincemeat into puff pastry sheets with a little jam and some nuts to make these crispy Rugelach pastries.
You could go for these pretty pink macarons with chilli chocolate ganache – also make a great hostess gift if it is not you but a friend who is holding the party!
Another pretty pink thing – lychee mousse cake. Delicate, soft and floral. It has a chocolate joconde sponge base, topped with lychee mousse and slices of lychee jelly. The colour and textures are incredibly enticing.
If you, like us, are a fan of mincemeat tarts, then try this variation – frangipane mince pies, which are light and almondy flavoured little tarts. We like Nigella Lawson’s cranberry mincemeat recipe in this one but feel free to use ready made mincemeat and pastry for a super quick rather gourmet looking patisserie.
More ideas for sweets –
Frozen yoghurt pops (with a Chocolate.Dipping.Station people!!) from the flavor blender.
Coconut and ginger cake pops from Tin and Thyme
Peanut butter truffles from Swanky Recipes.
